What are Royale Chauffeurs doing to help employees and guests stay safe?

In between each transfer, chauffeurs thoroughly disinfect vehicles. Chauffeurs have also changed several parts of the typical ride experience. For example, they now greet guests with a slight bow instead of a handshake. They have placed hand sanitizer in vehicles for guests to use and removed newspapers and magazines from seatbacks. Guests also must sit in a back seat to provide a safer distance for both guests and chauffeurs.
We also ask all guests who are showing any symptoms or have tested positive to not make a booking until you receive a doctor’s permission to travel.

What happens if an employee is directly affected or tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Safety of our guests, employees is our top priority. We require any employee who tests positive to inform us immediately. Once informed, we will notify those who were in contact with the affected person for the previous two weeks. We havde directed all chauffeurs who suspect they may be sick to not perform any rides. Any chauffeur who tests positive for coronavirus may not perform any rides until receiving a doctor’s permission.

How long do I need to get to the airport?

We also encourage travellers to double check their schedules and plans during this time of evolving restrictions. New safety measures at airports means that one should allow an extra 30 minutes to progress through security. We will adjust any pickup time to accommodate this and advise this at the time of your booking. We will monitor any changes in restriction of travel that would prevent an existing booking from occurring. We will notify guests and modify or cancel bookings without penalty. We comply with local rules and will take the necessary actions to protect public health and the wellbeing of guests and chauffeurs.

What is the cancellation policy?

Royale Chauffeurs offer the most customer-friendly policy with clients able to change or cancel up to 12 hours before the pickup time without charge, whilst account customers can cancel up to 6 hours ahead. However, we are aware of the need to be flexible during this time and will try not charge cancellation costs where possible.  If the coronavirus has caused you to make a last-minute cancellation, please inform Royale as soon as possible so we can best care for you and our chauffeurs.

What will happen if I am delayed due to long queues at the airport?

Royale includes one hour of complimentary waiting time for all airport pickups. However, we know that airport arrival procedures may change unexpectedly. We monitor your flights and will be aware of any delays, our chauffeurs will only enter the airport to meet you after the plan has landed. However, due to airports implementing their own safety procedures we suggest that guests arriving internationally schedule the chauffeur to arrive 60 minutes or later after the flight arrival time.

Can chauffeurs assist guests with luggage and other personal effects?

Yes, chauffeurs will continue to provide the same personal assistance with luggage and other belongings. You will still be met in the arrivals hall although if you prefer the chauffeur will advise where they are waiting, and you can meet outside. They will be wearing protective gloves and carry sanitiser and wipes. If you prefer to handle your luggage personally, please inform the chauffeur. He or she will open and close the trunk so only you will touch your belongings.

Does Royale offer city-to-city rides?

Yes, we can pick and drop off at any UK destination. This can be a one-way trip or a wait and return.  Because of the current coronavirus travel restrictions your travel should be classed as essential. You can book these rides on our website with as little as 3 hours notice before the pickup time. Please note that due to social distancing requirements, Royale permits no more than two guests in the vehicle for these rides, regardless of the type of vehicle.

Can I schedule a stop along the way of a city-to-city ride to pick up another passenger?

No. Guest pickup and drop off is permitted only in the designated locations provided at the time of booking. Government guidelines on social distancing needs to be adhered to. Currently persons from different households would not be able to travel together.

Are hourly bookings still available?

Yes, guests can book a chauffeured vehicle on an hourly basis. This flexible service allows guests a safe, private space with only one chauffeur for two or more hours. Guests can provide their planned stops in advance or simply direct the chauffeur where to drive on an as-needed basis. Hourly rides can be cancelled without penalty 12 hours or in line with the cancellation policy outlined above.
